Personal

As a founding partner in Town and Country Real Estate in Beaufort, SC in 1995, Matt has extensive knowledge in the downtown area of Beaufort and other waterfront communities throughout the Lowcountry. During his nearly 15 years of real estate sales and development, he has been involved in a number of large commercial, residential and development transactions.

Matt enjoys golfing, fishing and reading in his leisure time. He is a former board member of Historic Beaufort Foundation and the former Chairman of the city of Beaufort’s Tourism, Advisory and Management Commission. He has a passion for restoration and infill development and thus has been involved with a wide range of residential and commercial projects in and around Beaufort’s historic district. He looks forward to opening his latest project, City Loft Hotel, a 23 room boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Beaufort.

Matt was born and reared in Beaufort and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He is married to the former Laura Mastrandrea of Mt. Pleasant, SC and together they have two children- a handsome young son and a lovely infant daughter. He and his wife, Laura, have recently finished a restoration of his family home in The Point- located in the historic District of Beaufort.
