Lamarr has worked in the real estate business in Beaufort, SC since August 2006. Previously, he held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Norwegian Cruise Line, Miami, Florida. He was employed by NCL from April 1975 to September 2005.

Originally from Beaufort, SC, Lamarr graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management, then completed a Masters of Science in Accounting from Florida International University in Miami, FL. Additionally, he was licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida from 1982 to 1999.
He resides in Distant Island, Beaufort, SC with his wife Anne Cooler. Lamarr serves on the Board of Directors for the U.S. Coast Guard Foundation.
