A Rich Ecology
Berkeley Hall is located in an ecologically rich area of the South Carolina Lowcountry. Freshwater lakes on the property attract and sustain an abundant variety of wildlife, and the property’s location along the Atlantic flyway for migratory birds makes Berkeley Hall a natural stop for many bird species year-round. In addition, the ebb and flow of the Atlantic Ocean creates the changing tidal marshes of the Okatie River bordering the property.

A protected environment welcomes more than 100 species of birds.

Six miles of trails interlace the community, encouraging Members to enjoy the natural surroundings and to learn about the environmental wonders at their doorstep.

More than 100 species of birds make Berkeley Hall their home. The migratory bird population includes the common loon, the common tern, the piping plover, the yellow-rumped warbler, the tree swallow, and Canadian geese. Wildlife at Berkeley Hall includes fox squirrels, deer, wild turkeys, and foxes.

Lavish Amenities
The centerpiece of the Village Center is the Southern Colonial-style Clubhouse. Designed by the acclaimed Atlanta-based architectural firm NCG Architects, the Clubhouse will serve both as a gathering place for Berkeley Hall golfers and the social activity center for members and guests.

The Clubhouse has stunning views of the course.

The Clubhouse will feature panoramic views of the 1st, 9th, 10th and 18th holes of the North Course. The interior, finished in a traditional Carolina Lowcountry style, will have a warm, welcoming and gracious feeling.

Dining areas range from a mixed grill and a separate bar/tap room to a private "wine cellar" dining room; other features include spacious men’s and ladies’ locker rooms and lounges with food service, and a well-equipped golf shop.

Families will spend much of their time at the Sports and Fitness Center.

The Sports and Fitness Center, another component of the Village Center, is designed to be the recreational and social haven for the entire family. The facility will offer members state-of-the-art cardiovascular and strength training equipment, sauna and steam rooms, Jacuzzi, aerobics room, spa treatment rooms, indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, basketball, volleyball and an outdoor recreation area and playground. Personal trainers will also be available.
