Originally built in 1892, this four-story estate offers breathtaking views of the Savannah River and Emmet Park. The interior circular glass stairway gently curves through three floors, serving as the focal point of the home. Standing at the front door, one can look straight through the stairway and onto the river. The stairs lead to a glass-enclosed atrium surrounded by a wraparound terrace and roof garden atop the home.

The home was renovated in 2003, preserving many original elements while infusing it with contemporary designs. The original windows, fireplaces, wooden ceilings, and the Bay Street level floors were maintained, while an elevator, gourmet kitchen, wrought iron gates, mantles were added. The River Street frontage is presently retail space, and the current owner lives on the Factor?s Walk and Bay Street levels.

The foundation of the building dates back to the 18th century. The building itself was constructed in 1892 for the Tidewater Oil Company. Since that time, the building has been home to a construction company, a blue jeans factory, the Ships of the Seas Museum, retail space and offices.
